Volunteer Centre Coordinator position available

 

 

Riding for the Disabled (RDA) branch of Bundoora Park are seeking a volunteer to join their local committee.  RDA provide equestrian based activities which have therapeutic benefits, fitness, life skills development, opportunities for achievement and are supported by qualified coaches and volunteers. As an inclusive and diverse organisation, RDA welcomes and enables people with disabilities and ages to experience enjoyment, personal enrichment and a sense of achievement through equine assisted activities.

 

The Role: 

This volunteer opportunity will help us coordinate our RDA programs.  Working alongside the President and reporting to the committee your key responsibilities will include:

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan, develop and implementation of Program including volunteer

            management  and liaising with both participants and volunteers

·         Plan and schedule social media posts

·         Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to generate support

·         Support RDA mission

·         Follow RDA Guidelines

 

Desirable qualifications and skills

·         A background in administration is desirable

·         Experience volunteering for not for profits

·         Proven experience on a community committee

·         Teamwork

·         A passion for the community

·         A proactive approach to building new partnerships and expanding our  

            network

·         Strong planning and organisational skills

·         Working With Childrens Check

·         Police Check

·         Horse experience is desirable but not necessary
